Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These terms govern your use of Chasey, a Chrome extension that drafts follow-up email suggestions inside Gmail. By installing or using Chasey, you agree to these terms.

What Chasey does

Chasey reads the open Gmail thread directly from the page as displayed in your browser, and combines it with a short, rolling sample of your own past writing (see "Your voice profile" below) to generate a suggested follow-up email using an AI model. The draft is inserted into Gmail's own reply box for you to review and edit. Chasey never sends an email on your behalf — sending is always your own action. Chasey does not connect to the Gmail API and does not have read or send access to your mailbox; it only sees what is rendered on the Gmail page in front of you.

You can exclude any text on the page from Chasey entirely by highlighting it and choosing "Exclude from Chasey" from the right-click menu. Excluded text is stripped out before Chasey reads or stores anything, for as long as it stays marked, including in threads Chasey has already used.

Your voice profile

Pressing the Chasey hotkey (⌘⇧L on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+L on Windows/Linux) on a thread saves your own sent message from that thread as one of up to three rolling "voice samples" used to match your tone in future drafts; the oldest sample is dropped once a fourth is added. This is the only action that saves any thread content. Clicking the Chasey icon to generate a draft does not save anything.

Your account

Chasey requires signing in with your Google account via OAuth, solely to identify you by your Google account email address. This sign-in does not grant Chasey any access to your Gmail account, contacts, or other Google data — it is used only so we can track your plan and draft usage. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure.

Plans and billing

We reserve the right to change plan limits or pricing with reasonable notice.

AI-generated content

Drafts are generated automatically by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect facts correctly. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any content before you send it. Chasey and its operator are not liable for the content of any email you choose to send.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Chasey to generate spam, harassment, deceptive, or unlawful content, or to attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.

Service availability

Chasey is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify or discontinue the service at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chasey and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any email sent using a Chasey-generated draft.

Termination

You may stop using Chasey at any time by uninstalling the extension and revoking its access from your Google Account permissions page. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Chasey after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
